Market Focus

Market Focus™

Market Focus™ is what a Search Engine thinks a Webpage is about. Market Focus™ is a critical component of a Webpage, since it is essentially how people will "see" this Webpage when using a Search Engine. In the early days of Search Engines, the Market Focus™ would be determined by simply looking at the META Title information on a Webpage. This has since been replaced with more advanced technology, which incorporates many different pieces of information to determine the Market Focus™ of a Webpage.

Market Focus Rank™

Market Focus Rank™ is a formula which enables SEOENG™ to properly infer what a Webpage is about. In SEOENG™, Market Focus Rank™ is primarily calculated utilizing Shingle Analysis (which includes the Webpage's content, META Title, and META Description), along with Incoming Anchor Text. Like most modern Search Engines, SEOENG™ places an emphasis on Incoming Anchor Text based off of the Link Flow™ associated with it. Of course, penalties caused by "Link Campaigning" and "Keyword Stuffing" are enforced and shown (when available in SEOENG™) as part of this calculation. These penalties dilute the value of such words or anchor text.

Change Your Market Focus™!

Finally, a Market Focus Rank™ is presented, which works off of a logarithmic scale from 1 (worst) to 10 (best) enabling users of SEOENG™ the ability to judge whether or not another Market Focus™ would be a more viable alternative. Please note that the logarithmic value shown is relative to the other Market Focuses™ for this Webpage.

Internationalization Support

SEOENGBot™ can decipher many different types of encodings, which enables SEOENG™ to provide unprecedented internationalization support for its customers. SEOENG™ makes it best attempt to guess the encoding type of a particular Webpage by using very sophisticated algorithms that analyze the statistical makeup of the bytes returned from that Webpage. This allows SEOENG™ to free itself from mistakes made by Web Servers returning the wrong encoding type, Web Designers including the wrong encoding type in the META tags, and much more. On the Webpage Scoresheet, you can view the Content Encoding in the 'Vital Statistics' section.
